1. What is TacitWorks?

TacitWorks enables you to share your perspectives, insights, opinions and ideas related to a specific topic in your domain with a global audience. Furthermore, you get the opportunity to learn from the tacit knowledge that is being shared by your peers in your field. 

2. What sets TacitWorks apart from the other knowledge sharing platforms?

Our proprietary algorithm ensures that your content is shared only with those who are interested in similar topics. This drastically increases the chances of your content being seen and hence, being monetized!

3. What does content mean?  
At TacitKey, we support the exchange of tacit knowledge. Tacit knowledge is the knowledge that is unique to you and that is shaped by your experiences. Essentially, we want you to share your perspectives, insights, opinions and ideas related to a specific topic in your domain with a global audience. 


4. What kind of knowledge can you post as TacitWorks? 

On TacitKey, you can share your tacit knowledge with a global audience and evolve as a thought leader within your domain. 

Sharing is made easy through TacitWorks, through which you can showcase your tacit knowledge in the form of your perspectives, insights, opinions and ideas related to a specific topic in your domain. 

You can share your tacit knowledge with your peers in different formats such as videos, audio, text, webinars etc. 

On TacitWorks, you can share your views on:

1. Recent trends

2. Future directions

3. Existing hypothesis 

4. Latest innovations

5. Prevalent challenges 

6. Impact of the challenges

7. Solutions to the challenges

The different ways in which you can share your tacit knowledge include sharing your:

1. Perspectives 

Share your outlook or the inferences that you have garnered regarding a specific topic. This should ideally include original data based on which you have drawn your inferences. However, please ensure that the focus is more on your personal viewpoints. 

2. Opinions 

Share your idea or judgment related to an issue from within your domain. Present your views on the strengths and weaknesses of the topic in hand, backed by evidence. These are exclusively based on your personal viewpoints. 

3. Insights

Share your in-depth understanding of a specific topic. Through sharing your insights on an issue, you can draw attention to them and widen the scope of the findings. Please ensure to support your argument using anecdotal evidences. 

4. Ideas

Share your ideas related to a specific topic in the form of solutions to prevalent challenges in your domain. These have the potential to transform you into a global leader in your domain of expertise. 

5. What are the different file formats that can be uploaded onTacitKey?On TacitKey, you can share your tacit knowledge in textual/video/audio formats. We accept text-based content in .pdf format, images in either .jpg or .png formats, audio content in .mp3 format, and video content in .mp4 format.

6. What if my content is not in the appropriate format?

The content formats accepted by TacitKey ensure maximum security for your data and avoid copyright infringement issues. Hence, we request you to convert your content to the acceptable formats prior to posting them for our approval.

7. How often can I post content?

There are no restrictions on posting content. You can post as many, and as frequently as you want! 

8. Are there any restrictions on the files that I can upload on TacitKey?

You can share your tacit knowledge on the topic of your choice, as long as it falls under one of our four domains - Healthcare, Life Sciences, Legal or Finance. You can share it as video, audio or text - the choice is entirely up to you! 

Furthermore, there are no word limits of any kind. For Free and Paid TacitWorks, you can upload files that are up to 100MB and 1GB, respectively.

9. Why should I write a description for each content?

A description is a small paragraph of 1500 characters that acts as a preview of your content. It acts as a teaser to your content, and thus, can drive your content to a wider audience. Since no one can explain your work better than yourself, we request you to write a crisp description for every content.  

10. Why should I add a cover image for my content?

Adding a cover image relevant to your content will act as a preview of your content. It acts as a teaser to your content, and thus, can drive your content to a wider audience. 

11. How can I add a cover image to my content?

There are two ways to add a cover image while posting your TacitWorks. You can add cover images to your content by directly uploading them according to your preference or you can select one of the pictures in the TacitKey library.

12. What happens after I have posted my content? 

In order to ensure that your content follows the terms set forth in our Content Policy, it is sent to our team of moderators. The moderation process is fairly quick, and you will be notified within 48 hours. Upon approval, your content will go live and appear on our user feed. 

13. How will I know at which step of the moderation my content is currently at?

The status of each content, such as “Approval Pending”, “Approved” etc. will be displayed alongside each content in the TacitWorks homepage. In addition, you will receive email notifications from TacitKey when we receive your content as well as when your content has been approved.

14. How long does it take for my content to be approved? 

Our team of moderators are working around the clock to ensure that your tacit knowledge reaches a global audience as soon as possible. Currently, our moderation process takes about 24-48 hours. 

15. Do you check for plagiarism in my content?

Yes. We check for plagiarism during our moderation process. We have integrated specialized software for checking plagiarism in texts, videos, and images. Our pre-set threshold is 20%, and anything above that is automatically rejected during our moderation process.

16. Is there anything else I need to keep in mind while preparing my content?

Please do strictly follow our Content Policy. We do not allow any content that involves nudity, obscene language, instigation of violence, promotion of harassment etc. Such content will be immediately rejected by the moderators. Please help us maintain our platform as a hub for the exchange and sharing of ideas as well as tacit knowledge.

17. Why is my content not appearing in my feed? 

If your content is pending approval or it has been rejected by our moderator team, it will not appear in your feed. Please check “My content” for the updated status of the content that has been sent for approval. If your content has been rejected by our moderator team, you are welcome to resubmit it after making appropriate changes. 

18. My content has been rejected, what should I do?

If your content has been found to violate our Content Policy, our moderator team will reject it. Please do consider resubmitting after appropriate edits have been made. 

19. What are the different types of content? 

Content can be of six different types:

1. Free Private Content

2. Free Public Content

3. Paid Private Content

4. Paid Public Content

5. Paid Private Content

6. Sponsored Content

20. What is “Free Private” Content?

You can post content within a community, on our platform, as “Free Private” content. Only people within that specific community have complete access to these contents. In addition, they can actively engage with the content contributors.

21. What is “Free Public” Content?

You can post content on our platform as “Free Public” content. Everybody have complete access to such contents and can actively engage with the content contributors and other users in the platform.

22. What is “Paid Private” Content?

You can post high-value content within a community on our platform as “Paid Private” content. Complete access to these contents are given only to the members of the specific community who purchase them for the price you had fixed. 

Once the purchase is made, 75% of the amount is immediately transferred to your TacitKey account. By default, every 60 days, the accrued amount is transferred from here to your Paypal account. You can request to change the settings to receive “advance payouts”- once or twice a month, instead of the default of once every 2 months. 

23. What is “Paid Public” Content? 

You can post high-value content on our platform as “Paid Public” content. Complete access to these contents are given only to those who purchase them for the price you had fixed.

24. How can I earn from sharing my content? 

List your content as “Paid Public” content, and earn every time a user purchases your content. Once the purchase is made, 75% of the amount is immediately transferred to your TacitKey account. By default, every 60 days, the accrued amount is transferred from here to your Paypal account. You can request to change the settings to receive “advance payouts”- once or twice a month, instead of the default of once every 2 months. 

25. Who determines the price of my content?

One of the key features of our platform is that the content contributors can set the price for their own work! The minimum price for paid content is set at $19, and there is no maximum limit.We believe that you know the best when it comes to evaluating the quality of your work, and hence, you are the “right person” to set the price for the content! 

26. Why am I not able to view some content completely? 

If the content has been listed as “Paid Public” content, then you will only have restricted access until you purchase the content. 

27. Why are the various content priced differently? 

One of the characteristic features of our platform is that the content contributors can set the price for their own work! We believe that you know the best when it comes to evaluating the quality of your work, and hence, you are the “right person” to set the price for the content! Therefore, in our platform, the content from different contributors are priced differently. 

28. How can I share my content with my network?

To share your content with your network, please click on the “share” button and choose the social media platform that you want to share your content with. In addition, you can choose to share your content with a select few in your network by inviting them to TacitKey and promoting your works, through “Invite & Promote”.

29. How can I report an inappropriate content?

If you find any content that does not follow our Content Policy or Terms and Conditions, please flag the content as inappropriate by clicking on the “Report Content”. This will enable you to send us a default message with the reasons for flagging the content. Your identity will be kept confidential and you will be contacted only when our administrators need further clarifications. 

30. What is TacitCast?

For your convenience, we have introduced a new feature called “TacitCast”, which enables you to post images, audios and videos with just “one-click”. However, these posts will still be considered as TacitWorks, and have to go through our normal moderation process. 

31. How can I engage with my readers/audience?

There are many ways in which you can engage with your readers/audience on TacitKey. These include, but are not limited to: 

1. Commenting on the posts

2. Creating polls or feedback

3. Sharing your content on various social media platforms

4. Sharing the results from polls/feedback on various social media platforms

5. Sharing your content with your contacts through “Invite & Promote”

32. Who moderates the comments on my content?

In order to make sure that high-quality content is made available to everybody on the platform, your content is moderated by our team of moderators. However, you are responsible for moderating the comments in the discussion panel of your content. Please follow our Content Policy as well as Terms and Conditions while moderating the comments.

33. Can I archive my content?

You can choose to archive your content on your TacitWorks dashboard, by clicking the “Archive” button. Once archived, it will be visible to only you and those who had previously accessed it. To unarchive, just click “Unarchive”, which immediately makes the content visible for everyone.

34. Can I delete my content?

Once approved by the moderators, you cannot delete the content. However, you can contact us at support@tacitkey.com, and request to delete your content. Our administrators will take down the content and notify you by email within 24-48 hours. 

35. After purchasing a Paid TacitWorks, how long does it take for me to get access to the content?

Immediately after you make the payment, an invoice will be generated, and you will be granted full access to the content. 

36. If someone buys my content, how long will it take for me to get paid?

When a user buys your content, 75% of the paid amount will be transferred to your TacitKey account. By default, every 60 days, the accrued amount will be transferred to your Paypal account that is registered with your Tacitkey profile. 

However, you can request for an “advance payout”, which enables you to collect your earnings once or twice a month (based on your preference). For this, please send us a request from the “Earnings” tab under “Monetize” in your TacitKey user profile.  Within 48 hours, your earnings will be transferred to your Paypal account.

37. Can I get a refund for content purchased? 

We take great efforts in screening our content, so as to maximize the productivity and utility to our end-users. Hence, content once purchased cannot be refunded, unless there are compelling reasons. However, if you believe that the purchase you made warrants refund, please contact us at support@tacitkey.com, and we will do our best to help you. 

38. What rules should I follow while I moderate the comments on my posted content?

While moderating the comments on your content, please follow our Content Policy as well as Terms and Conditions. Please do make sure that the platform remains a place for professional and amiable engagement and discussion. Any comment that does not comply with these guidelines needs to be removed immediately.

39. Can I delete any of the comments?

Comments that do not comply with TacitKey’s Content Policy, as well as Terms and Conditions, need to be immediately deleted. 

40. Can I download any of the posted TacitWorks?

For security reasons, none of the content on our platform can be downloaded. They can only be viewed and shared.

41. Is there a specific structure I should follow for textual content?
